TWILOLB 5/31/2016

Our latest installment of TWILOLB with special guest host Clayton "The Peyton Manning of Baseball" Kershaw.

Epic Showdown of the Week

This week's ESOTW saw a throw down between UnderHochevars vs. Here's My Donation. Unconfirmed reports from the Donation camp that the manager was at the lake all weekend and wasn't even sure the showdown was this close.

UnderHochevars left the gates strong with a 25 point lead after Monday play. However this screenshot of UnderHochevars lineup should speak for itself:

Decimated by injuries and excuses UnderHochevars was somehow able to maintain the lead all week. The official Crap Your Bed Day (Sponsored by Domino's) in the matchup was Thursday with UnderHochevars hanging a mere 23.08 total points on the board. However not to be outdone was Here's My Donation's 10.75 total Thursday points. With solid Saturday and Sunday showings Here's My Donation pulled within 13 points. UnderHochevars was able to hold off the Sunday charge with a pair of decent pitchers scoring a victory 293.84 - 280.25, moving UnderHochevars to 4-4 on the year.

Get on the Bus Triple A Players of the week.

Pitchers
  • David Robertson - HvuSnMyBall - 0.2 IP -2.33 points 6 ER, Ahh yes the Meltdown vs the Royals. It was a thing of beauty.
  • Erasmo Ramierz - Here's My Donation - 1.1 IP -1.67 points. Second Whitesox pitcher on the bus this week and another victim of the Royals, blasted for 4ER in the Bottom of the 8th ending with a 414 ft blast by Hoz.
  • Mike Fiers - 3.2 IP 7 ER, pounded for 7 runs vs the Angels on Friday.
Erasmo No Bueno

Batters

  • Michael Conforto - Expos - 1 for 12 with a single. .237 OPS during this stretch. I could get a .237 OPS just showing up to the ballpark.
  • Erick Aybar - SkippyJonJones - 3/11 this week for 1.75 points. He got hit by a pitch on Friday in the foot with Xrays negative. Begged to be put on the DL so he doesn't have to play a few games. Can't say I blame him, after all he does play for the Braves.
  • Billy Burns - Tower of Power - 3/21 for 2.25 total points. Can't say Billy hasn't been hustlin though.
    Billy Burns seen here hustling.

Hot Stove Moves of the week

  • Underhochaevars picks up Matt "Serious Face Pictures" Cain for his May 27th start vs Colorado. Cain has a serious outing netting 1.67 points in 1.2 innings of work and is now on the DL. Gotta stretch that hammy Cain.
  • PattyV picks up Hector Santiago for his 5/25 start against Texas. Hector then picks up -0.17 points in a solid 2.1 IP. Attaboy Hector.
  • Tyler White Heat Check - Owned Percentage up to 13%. The news is traveling fast about this kid from Houston. 11 points in the past 4 days, that speaks for itself. HvuSnMyBall can now call the White for Greg Holland move a good one. The sky is the limit at this point.

Matt Cain and his Spirit Animal.

Rundown 3/20/2017

Welcome to the League of Legends rundown. A weekly (hopefully) rundown of all the sweet action from the real League of Legends (not that nerdy computer game). Season 3 is well under way with several leagues already started. Baseball Draft This Weekend We are days away from the baseball draft. The Draft Order has been set. Round 1 1. HvuSnMyBball 2. Expos 3. UnderHochevars 4. WarningTrackPower 5. PhilliesPhanInKC 6. Josh's Team 7. PattyV 8. Here s My Doonation 9. Hits for Ks 10. Stump Grinder's 11. Matt's Team 12. Tower of Power Talk about a first pick waste. I doubt HvuSnMyball even shows up for the draft. Trout will spend the summer wasting away on a team out of it by April...actually this seems pretty true to life. Hopefully HvuSnMyBall lands Pujols as well. Results from my first Mock draft sitting in the 4 slot. 1. Kris Bryant (ChC - 1B,3B,OF) 2. Xander Bogaerts (Bos - SS) 3. Freddie Freeman (Atl - 1B) 4. Giancarlo Stanton (Mia - OF) ...

TWILOLB

It's time for our first installment (possibly only) of TWILOLB (This week in LOL Baseball). We find ourselves already 7 weeks into the season, quarter of the way through. Where has the time gone? Epic Showdown of the Week Warning Track Power vs. Stump Grinder's A showdown of epic proportions. 2004 Red Sox vs Yankees. 1997 Florida Marlins vs Cleveland Indians. You get the gist. Stump Grinder's, after a slow week 1, the hottest team in the league with the highest total points. WarningTrackPower searching for his 4th league title in a row off to an undefeated start. Heading into Sunday WTP was down by 71 and needed a miracle. That miracle's name was Gerrit " The Cubs are Not that Good " Cole with a game hotter than this week's Cubs take. WTP had 4 starters combine for 70.33 points and a Kimbrel 2K save to power past SG on the final day of the matchup. WTP totaled 110.08 points on Sunday to grasp the victory from SGs curiously strong clutches. ...

COUSIN VINNY’S LEAGUE OF LEGENDS WEEK 1 PICKS

COUSIN VINNY’S LEAGUE OF LEGENDS WEEK 1 PICKS Stump Grinder’s @ Warning Track Power The Grinder’s are led by an All Star cast of outfielders and should live up to their name with a bunch of gritty ball players. Warning Track Power is banking on MLB juicing the ball even more so it flies all the way out of the park. They will lean on their mashers. On the bump the Grinder’s roll out a strong collection of power arms. WTP is led by Thor acquired from the Grinder’s in the offseason and are hoping their strong bullpen will help once Greinke's arm finally falls off. Cousin Vinny says: Stump Grinder’s (-3) Prediction: Grinder’s 8 WTP 4 Expos @ UnderHochevars Will this be the year Trevor Story finally breaks out because if he does he will pair nicely with Bregman on that side of the infield. Hosmer and LeMahieu on the other side will balance out all of the K’s those two may rack up. UH trots out a collection of proven consistent bats hoping guys like Santana, Bruce, and ...
