TWILOLB

It's time for our first installment (possibly only) of TWILOLB (This week in LOL Baseball). We find ourselves already 7 weeks into the season, quarter of the way through. Where has the time gone?

Epic Showdown of the Week

Warning Track Power vs. Stump Grinder's

A showdown of epic proportions. 2004 Red Sox vs Yankees. 1997 Florida Marlins vs Cleveland Indians. You get the gist. Stump Grinder's, after a slow week 1, the hottest team in the league with the highest total points. WarningTrackPower searching for his 4th league title in a row off to an undefeated start.

Heading into Sunday WTP was down by 71 and needed a miracle. That miracle's name was Gerrit "The Cubs are Not that Good" Cole with a game hotter than this week's Cubs take. WTP had 4 starters combine for 70.33 points and a Kimbrel 2K save to power past SG on the final day of the matchup. WTP totaled 110.08 points on Sunday to grasp the victory from SGs curiously strong clutches.

Get on the Bus Triple A Players of the week.

Batters
Triple A Batters of the week: Carlos Gomez, Brandon Moss, Matt Duffy. Can't blame Duffy for lack of effort folks, he had 21 AB and mustered 2 singles. Only struck out twice though. Keep hacking Duffy.

Pitchers
Triple A Pitchers of the week: Shawn Tolleson, Steve Cishek, Jose Berrios. Jose's outing was so bad he quite literally got on the bus back to Triple A. Chin up Jose.

Hot Stove Moves of the Week

  • PattyV picks up Logan Verrett in time for his start on 5/14. Logan promptly scores a whopping -3.33
  • HvuSnMyBall makes his first move of the season finally dropping Greg Holland in favor of Tyler White. You heard it legends Greg Holland is officially a Free Agent.
  • UnderHochevars makes the move to snag A-Rod 5/14. Say A-Rod how much are the Yankees paying you this year....
    21 million dollar smile.

Rundown 4/10/2017

Horstman Master's Dominance, Tower continues his Yahoo league excellence, Baseball week 1 wrapup, that and more in this week's rundown. The Masters One could argue Horstman wasn't even paying attention to Season 3 League Of Legends. He shut all that noise down with a convincing Masters Championship foursome netting him 1000 fake internet points and 5 minutes of League of Legend fame. The winning foursome of Hideki Matsuyama, Rory McIlroy, Jordan Spieth, and Justin Rose pulled away from the rest of the field. Horstman scored a 100 point bonus for picking Rose who finished 2nd in the tournament. NHL Champion The only legend who showed up for the NHL draft completes his wire to wire run as NHL leader and champion. Tower basks in the glory of another league championship under his belt. Gras' team started hot in day one of the championship matchup netting 19.20 points (not even sure my team ever scored that many points in one day). Gras continued to build a lead headi...

Rundown 3/27/2017

The fires are out, the dust has settled, the League of Legends Baseball draft is complete. Chiefs617 shows us how to almost be a basketball champion in 7 weeks, Final few days of streak, and more in this edition of the Run Down. Almost Champion Chiefs617 has had an impressive 7 week stretch in NBA. Ownership changed hands Feb 1st as Sonderman evacuated his post as legend prior to Season 3 starting. From that moment on Josh's Mediocre Team buzz sawed through the competition with an impressive 6 game winning streak including wins against the top 3 teams. His luck ran out this week in the playoffs against Quebec Kids setting the stage for an epic showdown between Tower of Power and Quebec Kids for NBA league champion. The season series is split 1-1 so it should be an epic match up. March Madness Dumpster Fire We have a whole pile of dumpster fire legend brackets. Who will rise above the ashes to take first place? If UNC wins then thejoestory and PattyV will own the top 2 s...

Rundown 6/12/2017 - Jcomp edition

It was a big week across the athletic landscape as several sports and collegiate softball crowned champions. Nadal finished an all-time great run through the French Open, the Penguins won the Stanley Cup, and Lebron ended talk of the Warriors and an undefeated postseason. Meanwhile, Patty took the LOL season lead for all of 36 hours until TJS could finish his 100 hour work week and get back to his computer to “adjust” the scoring. We’re 12 days into the second streak month of the LOL year. I feel a bit like Bob Gibson probably felt in 69 after the whiners got their way and the rules were changed. Luckily enough we’re entering prime Cricket season which, outside of Russian Basketball, is my sweetspot. You guys better get ready for a load of Chris Gayle Hot Takes. Triple Frown We’ve seen six different horses win the six triple crown races since American Pharoah in 2015. While being a borderline sports degenerate is a necessity in the League of Legends, do any of us really care abou...
