Season 3 Kickoff

Legends we are days now from starting Season 3 of THE League of Legends year long Fantasy Sports and Pickem Challenge {queue old school NFL Films Fanfare song}.

We kick off season 3 with a set of 🚨🚨🚨10 BURNING HOT SUPER BOWL TAKES ðŸš¨ðŸš¨ðŸš¨. This year we have a 10 bet parlay bonus for the legends to pick all 10 Hot takes correctly. These titans of take selectors will receive 250 point bonus.

You will notice our legends list has been trimmed down a bit as we removed some of the anchor legends from the bottom of the list. You may also notice we have trimmed down the LOL game list for season 3. We will use Hot Takes (with Double Down kickers) to make up for some of the games we dropped (example NHL and NBA Playoff pickems). You may also notice that some of your old shortcuts to games may be broken. Go to the main LOL page and then use the menus to make sure you get on the correct pages: http://www.thejoestory.com/lol


Season starts Superbowl Sunday, make sure you get your Hot Takes in BEFORE 4:30PM Sunday. Also the decision was made to not count the last few weeks of NHL and NBA weeks in between seasons. Therefore NBA/NHL points will start next week as well.

Action Item: We have a new subscription feature in LOL this year. You must sign up to receive notifications, if you do not enable notifications you will not receive any notifications. In order to enable notifications follow these instructions:

1. Go to http://www.thejoestory.com/lol
2. Click the Info Link in the top right and then select the profile link.
3. First time you access you should see a button that says Enable Subscription Services...Click that
4. You should then see a list of games with switches to turn on Email and SMS notifications, select the subscriptions you wish to activate and click Save. You can double check to make sure everything is set by leaving the profile page and then coming back to see what is clicked.

If you have any trouble with that let me know. This email is long enough so I will end by saying, I am updating the scoring info page on the site to add some more details on the league scoring and such. I will send out an update when that is complete.

Rundown 6/12/2017 - Jcomp edition

It was a big week across the athletic landscape as several sports and collegiate softball crowned champions. Nadal finished an all-time great run through the French Open, the Penguins won the Stanley Cup, and Lebron ended talk of the Warriors and an undefeated postseason. Meanwhile, Patty took the LOL season lead for all of 36 hours until TJS could finish his 100 hour work week and get back to his computer to “adjust” the scoring. We’re 12 days into the second streak month of the LOL year. I feel a bit like Bob Gibson probably felt in 69 after the whiners got their way and the rules were changed. The Baseball HOT STOVE IS ON FIRE, a new legend emerges, and much more on this weeks' RunDown.
